Winter Break

Well we had a winter break this year.  Pretty much we had a nice long weekend.  So Andy and I decided to go visit his family for the weekend, and get out of town.  Has anyone out there ever traveled with three kids?  Oh my gosh!  What normally should be a two hour trip turns into a four hour trip.  Someone has to stop and potty, someone is crying because they dropped something, someone wants a certain toy (that happens to be all the way in the back of the car), and who knows what else. I am not lying when I say that we pulled out of the driveway at 2:30, well at 3:30 we were still in Columbus.  I guess one day this will all be wonderful memories, one day we will laugh at all this.  Well we finally made it and had a wonderful time.  The kids got to visit their cousins and thier grandparents.  It was nice to just get away.  Even if the trip took forever. :)

Soccer

Well I will have to admit it seems to be hard to find time to blog.  With three kids and so much more going on, you can't seem to find the time.  Well Dylan has now begun to play soccer.  It's the sport that he has been saying that he wanted to play, so we decided to give it a try.  He seems to be doing good. One small problem, as the coach is talking and giving directions, Dylan is over there singing and dancing.  Don't know how we are going to be successful at soccer doing all that. :)  He seems to be loving it, and I do believe that is all that matters.  By the looks of his picture, he looks like he knows what he is doing.

What an Ending to a hard day....

You know when you try to balance a career and raising three children, it will get tough.  After the typical 5:30 wakening, a hard day at work, dinner, bath for three, brush teeth, play, laundry, clean up house, etc., you don't have much energy left for much more.  Well just like most nights we always head off to the babies room to read a book. So I tell my three children, time to go read a book and off we go. Well I had to change the laundry before I headed to the room. Well when I walked in Ryan and Abby's room this is what I found....

Dylan had gotten up in the chair and proceeded to read to Ryan and Abby.  Of course he can't read yet, however he has books memorized.  How could I ask for more when I see something like this?  Every moment that life gets to be to hard, or every moment I feel like I just can't go on, these children give me all the motivation in the world.

Is the cold gone yet?

Well it's been awhile since I have blogged.  Why you ask?  Well for one it seems like everyone in my house has had every virus that has ever been diagnosed.  Let's see we have had the flu, strep, stomach viruses, sinus infections, etc.  Seems like you get one well and then bang here comes something else.  We did have a chance to get outside a little this weekend and the kids loved it.  They actually got to ride some of their toys from Christmas.  Dylan spent most of the weekend with some of his friends from school that live in the neighborhood.  I can't believe Dylan is already at the age where he goes to a friend's house.  You know now they are all in to playing transformers and race cars, how that is going to change in 10 years.  Abby and Ryan on the other hand are a different story.  Ryan's favorite word is ball and Abby's favorite word is Barbie.  Isn't that amazing how they just know what to play with?  Abby also wears a tutu all around the house and loves to dance in it. She thinks when she has it on she is a princess!  She must get that from her mother!! :)
